Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
BahaNext Ltd ("BahaNext", "we", "us", "our") operates the Earn Tings platform (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights under the Bahamas Data Protection Act 2003 and other applicable law. By creating an account and using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, sharing, and processing of your data as described here.
Earn Tings is a paid research and rewards platform. The core exchange is this: you provide your opinions, demographic information, and consent to the commercial uses described in this policy, and in return you earn points redeemable for vouchers and rewards. These commercial uses — including research, advertising, targeting, retargeting, and the other purposes enumerated below — are an integral part of the service and the basis on which rewards are funded. They are not optional add-ons; they are how the Platform works.
1. Data We Collect
We collect, and you consent to our collecting, the following categories of personal data:
  • Contact and identity data: phone number, name, and any email address you provide.
  • Authentication data: verification codes, login and session records.
  • Demographic and profile data: age or age bracket, date of birth, gender, island and locality of residence, household income range, employment status, occupation, industry, education level, household composition, marital/family status, languages, ethnicity or nationality where provided, and any other profile attributes you choose to provide or that you provide in survey responses.
  • Survey and response data: your answers to surveys, including opinions, preferences, purchasing behaviour, brand awareness and usage, and open-text responses.
  • Behavioural and engagement data: your activity on the Platform, surveys taken, points earned and redeemed, referral activity, response patterns, and interaction history.
  • Location data: GPS and geolocation collected at signup, at survey completion, and during use, for verification, fraud prevention, location-based research, and location-based targeting.
  • Device and technical data: device type, browser, operating system, IP address, identifiers, and session and diagnostic data.
  • Inferred and derived data: audience segments, profiles, scores, and inferences we generate about you from the above (for example, consumer category, life-stage, or interest segments).
  • Third-party and appended data: data we may obtain or combine from other lawful sources to enrich or verify your profile.
2. How We Use and Process Your Data
You consent to our using your personal data for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to the following enumerated purposes. This list is illustrative and non-exhaustive; we may use your data for any other lawful commercial or operational purpose consistent with the nature of a paid research, data, and rewards platform:
  • Market and consumer research — matching you to surveys, fielding studies, and producing research findings for our clients and partners.
  • Aggregation and statistical analysis — combining your responses with others to produce statistics, insights, trends, and reports.
  • Audience segmentation and profiling — building, scoring, and maintaining audience segments and profiles based on your demographic, behavioural, location, and response data.
  • Advertising and marketing — sending you, and enabling our clients and partners to reach you with, advertisements, promotions, offers, and sponsored content, on and off the Platform.
  • Targeting and retargeting — using your data to define, build, and activate targeted and retargeted advertising audiences, including by matching identifiers with advertising platforms (such as Meta, Google, and similar) and ad-technology providers.
  • Direct messaging as a paid channel — sending you survey invitations, promotional offers, partner-brand messages, and sponsored communications via SMS, WhatsApp, email, push, or other channels.
  • Lead generation — identifying and, where you qualify, connecting you with offers, products, and services from third parties (for example financial, telecom, retail, automotive, real-estate, or travel providers).
  • Data products, licensing, and sale — creating, licensing, selling, sharing, and otherwise commercialising data products, audience data, segments, insights, reports, and datasets derived from or comprising the data we hold, to third parties including research clients, commercial partners, advertisers, data and ad-technology providers, and other purchasers.
  • Sharing and disclosure to third parties — disclosing, transferring, licensing, or selling your personal data, profile data, and contact data to third parties for the purposes described in this policy.
  • Panel and product services — recruiting you for product testing, sampling, concept testing, mystery shopping, focus groups, interviews, and similar paid research activities.
  • Polling and civic research — conducting political, social, public-opinion, and civic research and polling, and providing related insights to clients.
  • Verification and fraud prevention — verifying identity, residency, age, and response authenticity, and detecting and preventing fraud and abuse.
  • Personalisation — personalising your experience, surveys, offers, and communications.
  • Platform operation and improvement — operating, maintaining, analysing, securing, and improving the Platform and developing new products and services.
  • Legal and compliance — complying with law, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our Terms.
  • Business transfers — using and transferring your data in connection with any merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or other corporate transaction.
3. Who Sees and Receives Your Data
You consent to our sharing, disclosing, licensing, transferring, or selling your data with and to, including but not limited to:
  • Research clients and commercial partners — who commission studies or purchase insights, segments, or data.
  • Advertisers and brands — who target, retarget, or message audiences on or through the Platform.
  • Advertising and data-technology providers — including advertising platforms, data management and customer-data platforms, ad networks, and data brokers, for audience matching, activation, targeting, and retargeting.
  • Data purchasers and licensees — third parties who purchase or license data products, segments, datasets, or contact data.
  • Service providers — infrastructure, messaging, analytics, reward-fulfilment, and other vendors who process data on our behalf.
  • Other third parties — as described in this policy or as you are otherwise notified, and as permitted by law.
  • Affiliates and successors — our group companies and any successor in a business transfer.
We share data in identifiable, pseudonymised, aggregated, or anonymised form depending on the purpose and the recipient.
4. The Basis of Your Participation (Consent and Consideration)
Your participation in Earn Tings is voluntary and rewarded. The points, vouchers, and rewards you earn are the consideration you receive in exchange for your survey participation and for your consent to the data uses described in this policy, including advertising, targeting, retargeting, data sharing, licensing, and sale. These uses are fundamental to and inseparable from the service. By creating and maintaining an account, you grant your informed consent to these uses for as long as your account remains active.
5. Location Data
We collect GPS and location data at signup, at survey completion, and during use, for verification, fraud prevention, location-based research, location-based targeting and advertising, and analytics.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as long as necessary for our operational, research, commercial, legal, and compliance purposes. Data already shared, licensed, sold, incorporated into datasets or audience segments, or used in research prior to any deletion may continue to exist and be used by us and by recipients, and cannot be recalled.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Under the Bahamas Data Protection Act 2003 you have rights in relation to your personal data, including to:
  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data via your Profile page.
  • Delete your account. You may delete your account at any time via Settings. On deletion, we will anonymise or remove personal data that identifies you. Because the Platform’s rewards are funded by the commercial data uses described in this policy, deleting your account ends your participation in the rewards programme. The Platform does not offer continued paid participation while opting out of these core commercial uses, as they are integral to the service.
  • Withdraw consent by deleting your account, which ends both the data processing and your participation.
Data already shared, sold, licensed, anonymised, aggregated, or incorporated into datasets or research prior to your deletion cannot be recalled or reversed.
To exercise a right, contact privacy@earntings.com.
8. Anonymisation on Deletion
On account deletion, personal data that identifies you is anonymised or removed. Anonymised and aggregated data — which no longer identifies you — is not subject to deletion and may be retained and used indefinitely, including in datasets, research, insights, and data products.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed, stored, and transferred outside The Bahamas (for example by our service providers, clients, or data recipients). By using the Platform you consent to such transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards where required by law.
10. Security
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect personal data.
11. Children
The Platform is for persons 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by appropriate means (in-app, SMS, or email). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Compliance and Contact
We process personal data in accordance with applicable Bahamian law. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may contact the relevant Bahamian data protection authority. For privacy questions or requests, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@earntings.com.
